About The Lincoln Reception Center

The Lux Family has been serving the Mount Pleasant area for generations through the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. For the past few years, Charlie Lux has noticed more families wanting to use space at the funeral home in Mt. Pleasant for luncheons. Believing there is a need in the community, Lux decided to go a step further than offering chapel space for luncheons and other gatherings. The 4400 square-foot reception and event facility offers a full kitchen, a professionally landscaped outdoor reception area, versatile indoor gathering area, round or rectangle tables, a servatory for catering, large restrooms, and a brand new parking lot near the rear of the funeral home to accommodate more cars. Although the hall will be primarily for funeral luncheons, it is designed to be used for any gathering, including family reunions, wedding receptions, birthday parties, graduation open houses and any other get-togethers. One unique attribute of our facility is that you will have many options when it comes to catering and food for your event. There are not many halls or event venues for rent in the Mt. Pleasant area that allow renters to bring their own food, but Lincoln Reception will allow the practice. While the reception hall will be attached to the funeral home, there will be a separate entrance that will take visitors to a lobby and coat room.
